About half of Pocket NC machines are used in educational settings from high schools to vocational schools to university research labs and fablabs or makerspaces.

The Pocket NC is used in a variety of medical applications both in research at universities as well as in the medical industry.

Recently Dr. Culler and students at the Oregon Institute of Technology published a paper entitled “An Engineering Pedagogy for Developing Practical Knowledge and Hands-On Skills Related to 5-Axis Milling and Computer Aided Aerospace Parts Manufacturing Using Current Technology.”
